What is The Meaning of JUPEB?

The meaning of JUPEB, is
Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board.

JUPEB is a national examination body approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria in December 2013. It was formally established in April 2014 by a consortium of ten (10) partnering universities led by the University of Lagos.

The board has the responsibility of conducting common and standard examinations for the candidates, who have been exposed to a minimum of one-year approved courses in the different Universities’ Foundation and/or Diploma Programmes and are seeking Direct Entry admissions into University courses at the 200 Level in Nigerian and partnering foreign universities.

The JUPEB programme is an advanced level program of 9- 10 months that allows interested candidate to gain admission into 2oo level of any JUPEB’s approved institution without writing JAMB UTME. As stated earlier, JUPEB program is moderated by the University of Lagos.

Is JUPEB Approved By Federal Government?

JUPEB programme is approved by the Federal government of Nigeria via the Nigerian University Council as advanced level programme for direct entry admission into tertiary institutions that accept it in the country and abroad.

How Long Does It Take To Run JUPEB?

The JUPEB programme lasts for nine (9) months divided into two semesters. During this period, students are exposed to intensive lectures from Mondays to Friday every week and a weekly C.A test.

JUPEB programme is certified by NUC (Nigeria University Commission)
JUPEB is economical, because it will save you the cost and stress of 100 level as you will be admitted directly into 200 level upon completion of the programme . Students with awaiting results can also register for JUPEB

Obtain a Direct Entry form (DE Form) from JAMB or any JAMB DE registration center around you, fill the form appropriate with JAMB guidelines stated on the DE registration website Again, JUPEB results do not expire, you can use to gain admission even after ten years you have obtained it.
